Financial Philosophy

Everyone deserves access to psychotherapy services, and clinicians deserve livable pay.

While I am unable to accept health insurance at this time, I do plan on making my services available to those with insurance in the future. In lieu of this, I try to provide an affordable sliding-scale option that allows me to live and continue providing services. You choose what you can afford within that scale at each session and we work together to find a frequency that is financially and logistically feasible for you.

When we agree to work together we enter in a collaboration that leads by example: respecting and ensuring one another’s needs both mentally, emotionally and financially. This is why I ask that all clients agree to and respect my 24 hours-notice cancelation policy, laid out above.

Cancellation policy

Please provide at least 24 hours notice of cancellation. Sessions that are not cancelled before 24 hours will be charged the full cost of the session.

Good Faith Estimate

In compliance with the No Surprises Act that went into effect January 1, 2022, all healthcare providers are required to notify clients of their Federal rights and protections against potential “surprise billing.”

This Act requires that we notify you of your federally protected rights to receive a notification when services are rendered by an out-of-network provider, if a client is uninsured, or if a client elects not to use their insurance.

Additionally, we are required to provide you with a Good Faith Estimate of the cost of services which I will provide for your review before our first session together. It is difficult to determine the true length of treatment for mental health care and each client has a right to decide how long they would like to participate in psychotherapy services. Therefore, the letter you will receive from me will contain a range of fees depending on how long we work together. We will work together to determine how many sessions you would like or if you’d like to continue working together on an ongoing basis.

Please review the Good Faith Estimate when you receive it and let me know if you have any questions.

Reach out

Interested in learning more and seeing if we’re a good fit?
I provide free 15-20 minute phone consultations.
Here’s what that usually looks like:

1) You can tell me a bit about yourself and your needs (however much feels good for you).
2) I tell you a bit about myself and my approach.
3) I ask if you’d like to get back to me about working together or if you’d like to schedule something right away.
4) If/when you’d like to, we schedule a session and I send you my intake forms to be completed before that first session.
